Custom Designs
Designers work to create a better world by being the creator and shaper of the products we see around us and the comfort that makes our lives easier.
For GCA, the strength of the designer is not only making beneficial contributions to the environment with a successful design, but also having the ability to shape the future of the world with the features of its design. From this point of view, the design and the designer who reveals the design gains great importance.
Being aware of these facts, GCA is on the way to new goals with its award-winning special designs that are innovative in glass packaging production, supporting the functions of the product and providing the product the value it deserves creatively, in the light of its experience of more than 25 years.
It should not be forgotten that every product needs a packaging that will complement itself, and only then can it truly complete itself.
The experienced design team efforts to understand the product features related to the requested design in detail, answers the questions that need to be answered satisfactorily and makes the right suggestions for shaping the ideas, tries to reveal the guidance in a sincere style and accelerates the decision-making reflexes of the business partner. The packaging designed specifically for the product in line with the information received not only contributes positively to the corporate construction process of the brand, but also enables the product to be moved to a privileged and different position by giving it an identity.
Unique projects created with the joint experience of the GCA Design and Production Team provide our business partners with a noticeable rapid progress in achieving their goals regarding their products.
As soon as the packaging design request for a particular product reaches our design department, the debriefing process begins. The brief meetings conducted with our business partners consist of a detailed analysis and evaluation that examines all the necessary aspects regarding the product, such as design, production, market strategies, and our business partner's corporate positioning.
We seek answers to the questions below that will shed light on design and production topics.
- What is the type of product to be filled? What are its properties?
- Which market does the product appeal to?
- Who are the target users of the product?
- In what volumes will the product be worked on?
- What are the production constraints in filling and labeling the product?
- What are the design aspects that need to be highlighted/ pushed forward?
Keeping the brief in mind, our design team starts their research process to create projects that'll align with our business partner's demands and needs. The design team routinely follows international fairs, symposiums, current packaging and product design trends, and awarded packaging designs. At the same time, points that may be relevant to the business partner's demands are determined. Additionally, both local and international market research is carried out regarding the product and the sector in which the product is located. Research conducted gives a start to the design process in which the most relevant, creative, and original concepts for the brand identity and needs are determined.
According to previously stated, the design concepts are prepared to exhibit all product usage processes, such as glass packaging design, label design, and experience design, which are all defining elements for the brand itself.
Brief details, research results, and analysis results from our creative design team's evaluations are shared with our business partner. At this stage, the general concept details of the design are outlined.
Our design team will shape the design layers in collaboration with all colleagues that support the creative effort. The aesthetic and conceptual values, inspirations, critical and strategic points of action, the packaging design, including form, label, and cap, the design's language are integral elements that define the product's corporate tone. These elements are the building blocks that shape the design strategy while making it a whole. A unique design communicates to the target audience and represents the product as well as the brand.
Sketches of the design options are transformed into 3D models fit for mass production with state-of-the-art hardware and design software. At the next stage, the 3D models are rendered for presentation. The glass packaging designs include custom label suggestions to represent the end product.
Each design alternative is submitted to the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office for Industrial Design Registration.
GCA Design Team presents the story and concepts behind the design alternatives to our business partners. If a face-to-face meeting is not possible, the materials are shared via email, and an online meeting is held. Feedback from our partners is collected after an assessment period, and revisions are made if there are any requests. The revised presentation is then sent back to the partner.
The prototypes for the chosen design are prepared. After a careful form review, the prototype is shared with our partner. The prototype can be manufactured from plexiglas at the Mechanics Workshop or 3D printers using various materials. Written approval for the final product is obtained to start the manufacturing process.
With cutting-edge technology and automation systems for a flawless result, GCA reflects its packaging and glassware experience to its partners at every step, from manufacturing and quality control to packaging processes. Throughout the production process our business partner can consult the GCA Design Team for all non-glass complementary parts they conduct with their suppliers, such as colors, labels, and cap design.
The GCA Custom Designs hitting the shelves can be nominated for national and international packaging design awards upon our business partner's approval. The GCA Design Team handles all necessary steps such as the photo-shoot, promotional copy, application, and so on. Each award-winning design adds fuel to our passion for new designs.
