What If There Was No Glass in Our Lives Today?

From the past to the present, glass has been a material that plays a significant role in our lives. If there were no glass today, we might encounter different outcomes in many of our daily activities. Here's a compilation highlighting the place and importance of glass from yesterday to today:

1- Glass Packaging: Glass, a material that has such a prominent place in our lives, can be considered one of the largest components of our kitchen life and food and beverages domain. Especially with the sustainability understanding gained through today's awareness, its impact is significant. Glass packaging, with its storage function used in kitchen utensils, preserves the freshness of our foods in the kitchen and protects many products on the market shelves for us. If glass packaging had not developed to this extent, perhaps today, these possibilities would not exist in our kitchens or on store shelves.
Thankfully, glass exists!

2- Architectural Glass: Undoubtedly, glass has always been and continues to be a part of our lives as an aesthetic perception. For instance, the variety of colors in the windows of many buildings we've seen before, or the stained glass windows of public structures like mosques with mosaic art, have attracted our attention and sparked a desire to look closely. Through this curiosity, much information has been stored in our memories and passed on to the present as knowledge.
Thankfully, glass exists!

3- Table Presentations: We know the importance of presentations in our lives. Presentations are perhaps so important due to the dining culture present in many cultures, customs, and traditions worldwide. Presenting food and drinks with glass products and elegant presentations is a detail that opens our appetite everywhere, every time. Good presentations not only enhance the visual appeal of food but also ensure that there is no risk or danger due to their compatibility with food. If there were no glass, many products would be presented with ordinary packaging today, and consumers would not be offered an impressive experience. However, the presence of glass packaging in our lives and its development from yesterday to today has reversed this situation. Thus, we've become acquainted with the aesthetic appearance of glass packaging and its positive effects on food. Thankfully, glass exists!

4- Technology: Glass doesn't just play an ordinary role in our lives. Can you imagine a life without technology today? We think not! Glass, playing one of the most important roles in technology today, allows us to take excellent photos, watch amazing movies, use touchscreen technology on phones easily, and see everything like through glass with just one touch. We understand much better today the significant role such a great development plays in our lives.
Thankfully, glass exists!

5- Health Preservation: Perhaps we owe a life we've never heard of before to pharmaceutical glass. Pharmaceutical glasses play a significant role in storing medicines that heal and treat us. And while we fit the sun into our smiles, we protect our eyes from the harmful rays of the sun through glass. Glass filters sunlight to protect the eyes, creating an effect similar to sunscreen. If there were no glass, we would not change our perspective by being captivated by the glitter of the sun, and we would see everything too bright. But today, we can change our perspective very clearly and see the right direction.
Thankfully, glass exists!

6- And More: Communication, which enables us to put our thoughts into writing as we are doing now, also derives its power from glass. Fiber optics are so important in communication that they could be considered a revolution. If glass did not have the flexible and light-transmitting properties it has today, perhaps we would be living a life without the internet or even without communication cables. Or we would not be able to use clean electricity and heat energy provided by photovoltaic glasses, nor would we know about solar panels. This would make our planet more challenging than it is today. While reading all of this, perhaps you are smiling or clenching your teeth. We, on the other hand, are considering the effects of glass on dental health. Glass ceramics contribute significantly to achieving results closest to natural teeth in dental operations. Thus, it enables patients to achieve health, aesthetics, and comfort simultaneously.

The goal of glass is to offer a healthy, comfortable, aesthetic use to everyone in every field and everyone from yesterday to today, and to save not only today but also tomorrow with this use and to carry out our environment and nature in a sustainable manner.

Thankfully, glass exists!
