GCA Won Two Awards at the Crescents and Stars for Packaging
As one of the leading companies in the glass packaging industry in Türkiye, GCA has been honored with two awards in the food and beverage categories at the Crescents and Stars for Packaging competition, organized every two years by the Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD).
The results of the 11th edition of the Crescents and Stars for Packaging competition, organized by ASD, have been announced. GCA, which has been offering its innovative range of products and future-shaping technologies to its customers since 2015, competed alongside international participants. The company won a bronze award in the beverages category for its "Kınık Flavored Mineral Water Bottle”, and a gold award in the food category for the design of its "Kaanlar Olive Jar".

Commenting on the awards, GCA’s General Manager, Dr. Abdullah Gayret, stated, "At GCA, we have set ourselves the mission of providing sustainable and innovative glass packaging solutions. In line with this mission, we have been recognized at the Crescents and Stars for Packaging competition with two awards: a bronze in the beverages category for our Kınık Flavored Mineral Water Bottle, which reflects the refreshing energy of fruits and mineral water and the dynamic world of young consumers, and a gold in the food category for our Kaanlar Olive Jar, inspired by historical amphoras. The Kınık Flavored Mineral Water Bottle stands out with its layered embossments and sleek, dynamic design, while the Kaanlar Olive Jar offers a modern appearance with its tapered form and contemporary shoulder lines. Our goal is to continue making a difference in the market with eco-friendly and aesthetically pleasing glass packaging solutions."
An Important Platform in the Global Packaging Industry
The Crescents and Stars for Packaging competition, held biennially by the Packaging Manufacturers Association, is an important platform in the global packaging industry, open to international participation. The competition evaluates packaging produced and launched by local and international companies, aiming to reward creative solutions and innovations in the industry. The participating packaging solutions are rigorously assessed by an expert jury based on 11 different criteria outlined in the competition’s guidelines. Additionally, the competition's accreditation by the World Packaging Organization (WPO) and the Asian Packaging Federation (APF) further enhances its international recognition and credibility.
